An image cropper is a tool that lets you remove unwanted parts of a picture and keep only the area that matters. Cropping is one of the most common editing tasks because it solves everyday problems quickly. A photo may include too much empty space, a screenshot may contain private content, or a profile image may need to fit a square frame. Start by dragging an image into the upload area, choosing a file from your device, selecting one from your mobile gallery or pasting an image from your clipboard. ToolJi accepts JPG, PNG and WEBP files. Once the image opens, the upload screen becomes a full editor with a dark canvas, a large preview and a crop frame. Move the crop frame by dragging inside it, or resize it with the handles.

If the photo is not positioned correctly inside the crop area, drag the image itself to pan it. Use the zoom slider or mouse wheel to bring the subject closer. Rotate left or right if the image is sideways. Flip horizontally or vertically when you need a mirrored result. If you change your mind, Undo and Redo are available in the top toolbar. Reset returns the editor to a clean starting point.

Choose an aspect ratio from the bottom toolbar when the crop needs to fit a specific use. Free mode lets you resize the crop frame without a fixed ratio. Square mode is useful for profile photos. 16:9 works well for thumbnails and widescreen images. 9:16 is built for stories and vertical posts. Passport and smart document presets make ID-style cropping faster for common Indian workflows.

Put the subject near the center of the crop and leave a little breathing room around faces, products and text. For Instagram Stories, use 9:16. For YouTube thumbnails, use 16:9 and keep important text away from the edges. For Facebook covers and LinkedIn banners, preview the crop on desktop and mobile because those platforms may display the same image differently. When transparency matters, choose PNG output. When file size matters most, try WEBP after cropping.

If the image looks too close, zoom out or enlarge the crop frame. If the subject is too small, zoom in and drag the image until the important part sits inside the frame. The live preview updates as you edit, so you can make small adjustments before downloading.
